Jennifer Farley Brase has worked in the field of college admission for over 25 years. Her experience includes four years at Pepperdine University as an admission counselor where she read applications and traveled the country recruiting students. She has also worked “on the other side of the desk” as the Director of College Counseling at St. Margaret’s Episcopal School where she served as an academic counselor and guided students in the college application process. After becoming a mother, she desired a more flexible schedule in order to spend more time with her children and became an independent counselor. She enjoys working one-on-one with students especially brainstorming essay topics and helping applicants bring their stories to life. In addition to college counseling, Jennifer is active in the local high school PTA and is a volunteer at her church.
Cathy Schertle Huseby's passion for working with students began in college. Since then, she has worked with a variety of students, including high school students, college freshmen and transfers, and international and graduate students at USC, UC Irvine, and Woodbury University. Her broad experience in college admissions and advising has allowed her to help guide students through the admission process. She loves helping students find a university that fits them.
Cathy earned her Masters in Education with an emphasis in College Student Affairs from Azusa Pacific University and her Bachelor's in English from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Cathy also was a transfer student herself. In addition to guiding students, bike riding, cooking, and spending time with her husband and three kids make her smile.
Jennifer and Cathy are professional members of WACAC.
